Laser Engraving
The laser removes the surface with pinpoint accuracy. Fine lines, lettering, logos, and photos are suitable for labeling stainless steel signs as well as drinking bottles and promotional items.

Electrochemical process using a stencil, without heat and without material removal. Ideal for large components, systems, and on-site labeling.
Which process is suitable for your workpiece?
For permanent industrial marking on stainless steel, I use laser engraving or electrolytic engraving. Laser engraving removes material and is suitable for fine designs and photos. Electrolytic engraving works with a stencil and electricity; it remains flush and is also possible on large parts on-site.

I can produce a sample piece upon request. You check the position, size, and depth of the engraving, and only then will the production run begin.

Frequently asked questions about industrial engraving
Which types of stainless steel can be engraved?
All common stainless steels such as 1.4301 and 1.4404 can be engraved by laser and by electrolyte. Coated surfaces are also often possible; for these, I will prepare a sample in advance.
Will you also be coming to our company?
Yes, in the Dresden area, I perform on-site engraving using the electrolytic process. The rate is 49,00 euros per hour plus a 19,99 euro travel fee; a fixed price is possible after an inspection.
How long does an electrolytic engraving last?
The marking is embedded in the surface and remains legible as long as the component lasts. It is resistant to cleaning agents, oil, heat, and dishwashers.
Which files do you need for the design?
Preferably a vector file such as SVG, DXF, or AI. PNG or JPG in high resolution also work; I will prepare the file for engraving.
Are there net prices and invoices with VAT?
Yes, commercial customers can receive a net quote and an invoice with VAT shown upon request. All prices on this page are gross, including 19 percent VAT.
How quickly is a small batch ready?
Small series of up to 50 units usually leave the workshop within 3 to 4 working days of approval. I will schedule larger series with you in the quote.
What information do you need for tool labeling?
Please send me a photo of the tool, the material, the quantity, and the desired name, number, or logo. Based on this information, I will determine which engraving process is suitable for your workpiece and provide you with a quote.
