About Minntera

How it all began

My name is Frank Reuter and I run Minntera as a side business from Freital near Dresden. It all started as a hobby. As a trained industrial foreman, I have a passion for technology, plant engineering, software, and devices that work with precision. At some point, I stumbled upon laser devices. At first as a bit of fun, then it turned into something more.

What really grabbed me was the opportunity to create unique things for people, especially for children. One of my fondest moments was when I was asked to design lunch boxes for children starting school. The kids were so happy. That might sound small, but for me, it was the moment I knew: this is exactly what I want to do. Not mass-produced, off-the-shelf goods. Unique pieces that truly mean something to someone.

Why I choose stainless steel

This is a matter close to my heart. Plastic products still do not offer what I would feel comfortable passing on, if only because of the issue of harmful substances. Softeners, BPA, questionable coatings. I do not want to sell a product that I would hesitate to give to my own child.

For me, stainless steel is the most honest choice. Food-safe, free of harmful substances, robust. What you see is what you get—no paint, no coating that will eventually peel off, become brittle, or fade.

Laser engraving instead of coating

Anyone who has a printed or coated bottle knows what it looks like after a year in the dishwasher: the print fades, the coating becomes brittle, plastic parts discolor. That doesn't happen with my laser engravings. The engraving is set directly into the stainless steel—not on it, not over it, but in it. It doesn't fade and doesn't become brittle because it is located in the surface itself.

This difference is important to me in many ways: a laser engraving on stainless steel is healthier, more genuine, and more durable than what industrial mass production can offer. It is the difference between a gift that lasts and one that loses its appeal after a few months.

How I work

I process every order myself. I look at every file, optimize it for engraving if necessary, and get in touch with you if I think we can make the result even better. If you send me a message, I reply—no call center, no bot, no form. Just me.

That might not be the fastest model. But it is the most honest. And when you open a package from me, I want you to feel that someone put effort into it.

Not just gifts, also industrial use

In addition to personalized gifts, I also label plant components, stainless steel equipment, stainless steel furniture, and similar workpieces using electrolytic stainless steel engraving. Whether it's inventory numbers, type plates, or company logos on industrial components, the technology is different, but the standard remains the same: clean, permanent, and professional.
